Catheter Care
Supporting patients with indwelling Foley, suprapubic, external, and intermittent urinary catheters within the home health aide scope. Covers proper bag positioning below bladder level, tubing securement, daily hygiene, output measurement, and recognizing CAUTI signs (cloudy or foul urine, sediment, blood, decreased output, fever, new confusion in the elderly). Insertion and irrigation remain licensed-nurse tasks.
