EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification
The federal certification required under Clean Air Act Section 608 for anyone who purchases or handles refrigerants. Covers Type I (small appliance), Type II (high-pressure), Type III (low-pressure), and Universal, including refrigerant recovery, recycling, and leak repair rules. Employers will not hire an HVAC tech without at least a Type II or Universal card in hand.
