About This Role
Heartland Manufacturing is looking for a Lean Manufacturing Coordinator to drive continuous improvement across our three Toledo production plants. You will lead kaizen events, train production teams on 5S methodology, and use statistical process control to identify and eliminate waste.
Day-to-day, you will walk the production floor observing workflows, facilitate value stream mapping sessions with supervisors and operators, maintain visual management boards, track key performance indicators like OEE and scrap rates, and present improvement results to plant leadership monthly. When a production line has a recurring quality or efficiency problem, you will assemble a cross-functional team and lead them through root cause analysis.
We need someone with at least three years of manufacturing experience and hands-on familiarity with lean tools. A Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is preferred. You should be comfortable standing in front of a group and teaching, and you need to be the kind of person who sees a messy workstation and cannot walk past it without saying something.
